A little Guitar Hero anyone??

My friend Nadine and her oldest daughter along with her boyfriend stopped by tonight to visit. I haven't seen them since the summer time. Nadine and I were talking earlier today about a Christmas gift she had gotten her youngest...I am sure you guessed it Guitar Hero. She has the Rock Band with the guitar. My husband brought home the Rock Band with the guitar, drum and microphone a while back so we decided to have a little band action.

This is just before we got started. Check out the smiles on those faces.

Tell me can you see the change in expression there. That is pure concentration!!

Here I am on the floor getting ready to sing "Band on the Run". I completed that with 81% accuracy baby.

Can't wait for another band session!!

This time it is really good night.

Vacation Projects - How many can I check off before Monday?

When I started my vacation I had a long list of things to accomplish during my 17 days of SAHMville:

1. Get rid of the small clothes in my oldest sons drawers (check!)
2. Clean both boys bedrooms (check!) - although you would never know it now :(
3. Cut and reorganize my coupon binder (1/2 done)
4. Take down Christmas decorations (to be completed this weekend)
5. Get all laundry put away (check)
6. Complete the document for work

My goal was to go back to work on January 5th with a nice and clean house. I am still holding out hope that it can be done but time will tell.

I hope to get the coupon binder complete tomorrow along with the cleaning of the bedrooms. Wednesday will be spent writing the work document so that I won't have to think about it during my fun times on Thursday evening.

Have a great night!!

How to Entertain the kids the day after Christmas/CVS Bargain

My usual Saturday morning routine is to get to the gym by 8AM work out hard and come home. The 4 year old received a TAG reading system from Santa and he was begging me to set it up for him. How can you say no to that request? I mean the kids is dying to read. Buy the time I finished setting it up it was around 9 and I had to head out. Wouldn't you know everyone and their mother decided to work off those Christmas cookies today. There was not one single cardio machine available. So I decided to take it upstairs to the track.

I ran 3 miles on the track then decided to venture downstairs to the wellness center to check on the cardio machine situation. I was lucky there was an elliptical open. 30 minutes on the elliptical and about 7 minutes on the stair master, 10 minutes on the bike and ended with a 2 mile jog on the tready. According to my heartrate monitor I burned 755 cals. I was pretty happy with that :).

The weather hasn't been to great with melting snow and my boys were tired of being cooped up in this house . They needed to burn some energy and it was too muddy to try out the new bikes so what could I do to entertain them you ask?? OPEN SWIM!! We were in that pool for 2 hours. Can I count that as extra exercise? Right about now 7:30PM and I think they are overtired. The 9 year old just head butted the 4 year old. OK they are settled now.

On the way home I had to stop at CVS...I had a 5off15 coupon burning a hole in my pocket and it expired today. I spent $9.83 after the deduction. Want to see what I got?
2 Christmas boxes, 2 takeout boxes, 2 packages (100ct) labels, 4 gift bags, 2 packages of tinsel and 2 bags off dove chocolate (not pictured). Not to shabby, I am ready to start baking for next Christmas already.

That's about it for today!!

Good Night.

A Minor Hiccup and Christmas update

So I finally decided to start a blog, and then I did the unthinkable.....I dropped my laptop on the floor and the entire screen cracked. We have another pc but it is ancient and moves as slow as mollasses going uphill in the winter. I tried to be patient with it and do a post but is was painful.

You might be thinking ok where is she going with this. As you can see I am back in action. Let me tell you what my husband bought me for Chrismas....A new laptop. I couldn't believe it. I am still trying to figure out how he did it.

My kiddies were siked today. I have to say Santa was very good to them (thanks to all of the bargains I was able to get through out the year). Check out the look on Raven's face,

tell me that isn't pure joy!!

Here's La Kesha, the colllege student. I actually wrapped up a package of Ramen Noodles for her. This could be considered it's own food group for her. She mixes the noodles with easy mac (doesn't sound too tasty to me) but I guess you have to be creative when your living the college life.

And Last but not least, Marcel. Santa got him a V-Smile handheld system. Maybe now he will leave his brothers DS alone (I can only hope!)

Tha's about all I have for now, I better get started on Christmas dinner!!
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

My Very First Post

OK, leave it to me to add just one more thing to my daily schedule, lol. As if things aren't crazy enough. Sometimes I think I just keep adding things to see if I will break.

So here I am December 22, 2009 starting a blog. It's something I have been thinking about for a while but I was waiting for the "right time". I guess it felt right when I opened my Christmas gift from my mom. Can you guess what the gift was, something every blogger needs........a camera. So I have been snapping pictures of everything I see (I'll add pics in another post the camera is still in the car from our sledding adventure yesterday).

As my blog title states this blog will be about my daily juggle as mom of 3 (ages 19, 9 and 4). Wife of 11 years. I am maintaining a weight loss of ~90lbs (used to be 105lbs lost, gotta kick it in high gear to get it back off). I love working out, eating healthy (with some junk food thrown in on occasion) couponing and bargain shopping.

Have a great day!!!
